The 2016 Dallas Cowboys season was the franchise's 57th season in the National Football League, the eighth playing their home games at AT&T Stadium and the 6th full season under head coach Jason Garrett. After losing their first game to the New York Giants, the Cowboys went undefeated for 11 straight games. The streak ended with them losing.
But the Ravens (6-5) aren’t without their own problems. They’ve suffered three straight losses and sit a game and a half out of the final wildcard spot in the AFC. With five games left, Baltimore could see its postseason hopes wither away with one or two more setbacks.
Conventional wisdom, then, suggests the team has to beat Dallas. A few starters — Willie Snead, Matthew Judon and Mark Andrews — remain on the Ravens’ reserve/COVID-19 list, but they have begun to replenish depth and star power after a coronavirus outbreak.
Tuesday night, the Ravens can hope to begin a late-season surge back toward contention and a place among the NFL’s elite teams. Or they could watch a once-promising campaign slip further away.
